Our Staff

Adventure Scotland started life in 1998 as a consortium of adventure activity providers.  We were drawn together by common interest, a respect for each other’s skills and a commitment to a quality service.  We all believed that what we did was in some way special –a belief we still hold.

Every member of our team is actively passionate about the outdoors and they are inspired by the activities, the environment and the people we work with.

Claire Scott came on board in 2007 primarily to develop the business profile, improve efficiency and to pursue new opportunities for Adventure Scotland.  Claire also spends her time delivering outdoor events and programs in a wide range of activities.

She has a Degree in Geology (B.Sc) and comes from an oil industry background, with a 10 year career spanning work as a Geologist, Petrophysicist and Manager.

Always a keen outdoor sports enthusiast, changing career to apply her interest & experience in business development & project management to the outdoor industry seemed a natural choice.

Claire is a British Canoe Union Level 5 Coach (Kayak), BCU Level 3 Coach (Sea & Canoe), Mountain Leader, SS Alpine Ski Leader, SMBLT Trail Cycle Leader and SRA Raft Guide.

You can usually find her in a boat of some sort, on any puddle of water, but when drying out she plays the mandolin, runs with her dog and gets out on her road bike.
