Our Staff
Adventure Scotland started life in 1998 as a consortium of adventure activity providers. We were drawn together by common interest, a respect for each other’s skills and a commitment to a quality service. We all believed that what we did was in some way special –a belief we still hold.
Every member of our team is actively passionate about the outdoors and they are inspired by the activities, the environment and the people we work with.

Jan Horrocks is Adventure Scotland’s Business Manager. Her role mainly involves marketing & finance but includes plenty of variety and she has been known to venture out to help with events too from time to time!Originally a nurse for 20 years, Jan decided it was time for a change and returned to college to do a HNC in Business Administration. Jan has been working full-time for Adventure Scotland since 2001.It is often Jan’s voice you will hear at the end of the telephone, but when not keeping us all organised and in check, she enjoys a number of outdoor activities including open canoeing, skiing, sailing and hill walking.Although everyone knows that Jan and Dave are almost too young to be grandparents they do in fact have an energetic young granddaughter called Anwyn who most definitely keeps them on their toes when she comes to visit. |
